The Hoxton - Shoreditch
The Hoxton ticks a lot of our boxes. This great-value urban hotel has stylish air-conditioned rooms with flat screen TV's, luxurious linens, free WiFi. The bathrooms have rain showers and fluffy towels.Located just a short walk from Old Street station, from which you can easily get around London. Some of the best (and cheap) Vietnamese restaurants in the country (Shoreditch High Street) is just around the corner.
Great value, large and comfortable rooms. The Millennium Gloucester also has a great location - almost next door to the Gloucester Road station (Piccadilly, Circle and District Lines). The gay scene in Soho or Vauxhall can be reached in about 15 minutes. The hotel boasts its own casino, restaurant serving oriental-themed cuisine and fitness centre. There is a great selection of restaurants and cafés just around the corner, too.
One Thirty Queensgate London Ap Hotel
The contemporary-styled serviced apartments at One Thirty Queensgate are great for gay travelers who want more than just a bedroom. These luxury apartments feature WiFi access, a fully equipped kitchen, audio visual system, etc. No restaurant, but there is a huge choice of cafés and restaurants in the area.The location is excellent for sightseeing, shopping and the gay nightlife. DoubleTree by Hilton - West End
The good value 4-star DoubleTree is just 200 metres from Holborn station (which is served by both Central and Piccadilly Lines). You can reach major tourist attractions, shopping districts and gay nightlife very easily and quickly.The shops, cafés, restaurants and theatres in Covent Garden are all within easy walking distance. The Soho gay scene is about a 15-minute walk (quicker if you hop on a bus).The DoubleTree has its own gym, although the nearby Soho Gyms may be more tempting.
Citadines Apart'hotel Holborn
The Citadines Apart'hotel is located next to Holborn Underground station with excellent connections across London for sightseeing, shopping and the gay nightlife - all in an art deco setting. The Soho gay village is about a 10-minute walk, although some popular gay bars and saunas in Covent Garden are closer. The comfortable apartments feature a fully equipped kitchen (microwave, etc.) and free WiFi. There is a huge range of cafés and restaurants nearby, or you can dine in at the Citadines' own restaurant and bar.
Park Plaza Riverbank London
If you're in London to party the night away at one of the gay club nights in Vauxhall, then the Park Plaza Riverbank is for you, as the hotel is just a few minutes' walk to FiRE and The Locker Room sauna.Guest rooms have stunning views over the Thames River. Facilities include a restaurant and gym, so why not make a weekend of it? Holiday Inn Express London - Vauxhall Nine Elms
If you're looking for a budget hotel near the bars and nightlife in Vauxhall, then the Holiday Inn Express is worth considering. Guest rooms are relatively small, simply furnished and have private bathrooms. While there are many dining choices nearby, the onsite restaurant serves affordable meals all day. The Vauxhall gay village and underground station (Victoria Line) are less than 10 minutes' walk away.

Superb for sightseeing and just a 10-minute walk from the gay bars & clubs in Soho, although Halfway to Heaven and G-A-Y at Heaven are even closer. The chic spacious guestrooms are air-conditioned. Some rooms have fabulous views of Trafalgar Square itself. The rooftop bar, open during summer months, is an unmissable stop for a pre-party G&T. Buckingham Palace, the National Gallery, Covent Garden and Theatreland are all nearby. The gay clubs such as FiRE in Vauxhall can be reached easily by bus or Underground.
Novotel London City South
If you are planning a weekend in London with a night out at a WE Party @ the Coronet Theatre, then the Novotel London City South could be for you. The hotel is a 10 minute-walk from Elephant and Castle, thus avoiding the need for an expensive taxi after the party. Guest rooms have big comfortable beds, internet access and satellite TV. Premier Inn London Leicester Square
Premier Inn is UK's largest hotel group with a reputation for comfortable, value-for-money rooms. The Leicester Square branch is located on a side street just off Leicester Square and offers air-conditioned rooms with the brand's signature comfy bed. The hotel is just a few minutes' walk to Soho and seconds to Chinatown. There is an endless choice of restaurants and cafés just steps from the hotel entrance.
Travelodge Covent Garden **
One of the most affordable central London hotels. The Covent Garden Travelodge offers comfortable rooms right in the heart of vibrant Covent Garden. The hotel is comprised of two buildings both of which have a bar and restaurant. However, Covent Garden is one of the most popular and fashionable shopping and restaurant areas in London - so you are spoilt for choice. The bars and clubs in Soho are about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Soho Gym and The Sauna Bar are just moments away. The 'no frills' Travelodge does not provide any bathroom amenities so bring your own shower gel and tooth brush. WiFi is available but at an extra charge.
Andaz London Liverpool Street
This stunning luxury hotel may be in the heart of London's financial district, but that does not stop it from attracting the trendsetting central crowd. The building dates back to 1884, but inside it's all 21st century. Stylish guest rooms come with minibar, tea & coffee maker, iPod dock, free WiFi. Andaz is located right next to Liverpool Street station with direct access to the Central, District and Circle underground lines, making it very easy to get around the city. 'Must see' attractions such as The Tower of London, Tower Bridge, St Paul's, Tate Modern and Spitalfields Market are all within walking distance.
The Nadler Kensington
The concept The Nadler in Kensington is simple. High quality, great-value-for-money accommodation within a 'limited service' hotel environment. This means you get a modern air-conditioned room with a comfortable bed, free WiFi, mini-kitchen (microwave, fridge, sink), HDTV, a 6000-track music library, free tea & coffee, oversized shower and Gilchrist & Soames toiletries. St. Ermin's Hotel
A very British hotel. Following a £30 million refit St. Ermin's has been restored to its former glory. We think you will be impressed by the stunning foyer, huge open fire places and delicious afternoon teas. Stylish guest rooms feature comfortable beds, LCD TV, state-of-the-art entertainment system, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities and free WiFi. Gay scene-wise, St. Ermin's is halfway between Soho and Vauxhall. Both can be reached using public transport in 10-15 minutes. St. James' underground station is next to the hotel, although major sights including Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey and Big Ben are just a few minutes' walk away.
The Zetter Hotel
Clarkenwell was once home to the legendary gay nightclub TRADE. The club is gone, but the area has become one of the trendiest in London. The redevelopment of Zetter, UK's biggest football-betting company's head office, into The Zetter Hotel was part of that transformation. Voted one of the World’s 50 Coolest Hotels by Condé Nast Traveller, The Zetter has 59 individually designed guest rooms (quirky, vintage-modern) with state-of-the-art technology. Within 10-15 minutes by taxi to the Soho gay scene and the West End - a bit longer if you take the bus.
There is a good chance that even the most regular visitor to London will not have heard of Hazlitt's. Comprised of interconnecting historic Georgian houses just off Soho Square, most of the hotel's business is from personal recommendation. Hazlitt's philosophy is to offer exceptional hospitality and a friendly, efficient service. If you need a few strings pulled to book a table or ticket to a show, they will try their best to get what you want. The stunning guest rooms are adorned with pictures and antiques, as well as air conditioner, free WiFi and LCD TV. Hazlitt's is across the road from the stylish CIRCA Soho gay bar and not much further from all the gay bars in Soho.
Leicester House (previously known as 'One Leicester Square') offers just 15 rooms. The approach is simple. Comfortable, reasonably spacious, no-nonsense guest rooms. Everything you need and nothing you don't. Expect a very comfortable bed, plump pillows, a well-stocked minibar, quality bathroom amenities, free WiFi and an amazing breakfast. Just moments from the gay nightlife in Soho. Popular choice, but often fully booked. The hotel is only a short walk from Piccadilly - the perfect choice if you want to be close to all the action in the city.
Plaza on the River
Located on the south bank of River Thames, the Plaza on the River is just moments from the saunas, clubs, and dance bars like The Royal Vauxhall Tavern in the famed Vauxhall gay village.There are 65 air-conditioned studios & suites, all of which have fully equipped kitchens, state-of-the-art technology and free WiFi. Until a few years ago, the roundabout by Westminster Bridge was dominated by the concrete eyesore of a 1960's disused office block. Thankfully, that building has been demolished and replaced by a fabulous new hotel. Guest rooms feature LCD TV, free WiFi, safe and very comfortable bed. Some have stunning views of the Big Ben. The hotel has a pool, a well-equipped gym & sauna - although the famous Pleasuredrome gay sauna is just a few minutes' walk away. Premier Inn County Hall
If the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge is too pricey, then check out the next door Premier Inn County Hall. This excellent-value hotel has rooms witha king-sized bed, Fogarty duvets and LCD TV. WiFi is available for a fee. Like the Park Plaza, this hotel is within walking distance of many of London's best tourist attractions (London Eye - 1 min., Big Ben & Parliament - 5 min., and the Vauxhall gay village 15 min.). citizenM London Bankside
The citizenM hotel has a great location, near the Tate Modern and the Millennium Bridge. Compact guest rooms are utterly modern and very well-designed. Each unit has a huge king-sized bed, free WiFi, free movies on demand, LCD TV, fridge and climate control. Rain shower is enclosed within a frosted pod-like structure, and we love the ambient room lighting and electronic blinds. The onsite "canteenM" is open 24 hours, serving good food at decent prices. Very convenient location for a night out at Pulse, a 5-minute walk to Southwark Station and 10 minutes to Pleasuredrome gay sauna.
Hostel 639 was established by a group of backpackers who, after years of travelling, decided to set up their own business in London, so they have a pretty good understanding of what budget travelers want. The hotel offers a choice of 6- and 8-bed dorms with shower and basin amenities, a café and lounge area.Located next to Kensal Green underground station (Bakerloo Line) and just a 10-minute walk from Portobello Road.

The Z Hotel Victoria
The Z Victoria offers affordable, stylish, well-equipped rooms in great location. Rooms are compact (only 9-14 m²) and 60% don't have a window, but that's besides the point.The Z Hotel guests party, explore or even work, then they come back to sleep in a perfect little en suite bedroom with free WiFi, 40" LED TV with Sky channels and power shower.The bars and clubs in Vauxhall are just 10 minutes by bus, and you can afford to stay an extra night to recover! Soho gay scene can be reached in 20 minutes by bus or Underground.
London Putney Bridge Premier Inn
The Premier Inn London Putney Bridg offers good quality rooms, located just a few minutes' walk from the Putney Bridge Underground station (Zone 2 on the District Line). From there, you can go anywhere in central London in 30-50 minutes (including both Soho and Vauxhall). The hotel is on the Number 14 night bus route. If you stay out late in Soho, you can get back to your hotel easily and cheaply. Good value for money, particularly if you book ahead. There are plenty of places to eat across the river in Putney.
ME London by Melia
ME London is located in the former Marconi House where BBC made its first broadcast in 1922. A stunning glass and stone extension was added, and the building was transformed into a luxury hotel. The rooftop bar is also something worth checking out. Individually styled guest rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows, private balconies with city views, soundproofing, climate control, media hubs, Nespresso coffee machine, fabulous beds and large luxurious bathrooms. Nearby, there's a huge range of shops and restaurants in Covent Garden and some of the best theatres. A 10-minute walk can get you to Soho gay bars, Pleasuredrome sauna which is just across the river in Waterloo and G-A-Y @ Heaven etc. The Vauxhall gay village can be reached by taxi in about 15 minutes.
Much of Belgravia is still owned by the Duke of Westminster and remains the most fashionable residential district in central London and home to the super rich (both 'old money' and 'new') The Hari is very much a "new Britannia" hotel. The 'totally cool' guest rooms feature large comfortable beds, marble bathrooms with a walk-in shower with amenities by REN. The hotel has a great restaurant, bar and gym. Needless to say, the service is second to none. Location-wise, The Hari is great for shopping as it is halfway between Sloane Square and Knightbridge, and halfway between Soho and Vauxhall gay villages, too!

Hilton London Tower Bridge
The London Tower Bridge is probably the best-value Hilton in London. The hotel has a great location on the south side of River Thames, very near London Bridge underground station. You can walk to Tate Modern, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and to all the restaurants along the South Bank. The contemporary guest rooms are spacious, comfortable and feature a flat screen TV, a decent-sized bathroom and free WiFi. Gay venues in Vauxhall and Soho can be reached quickly by the underground. The location is ideal if you are in London for one of the massive WE parties held at the Coronet Theatre in Elephant & Castle or XXL held at Pulse in Southwark. Recommended!
South Place Hotel
Independently owned luxury hotel, located just a few minutes' walk from both Liverpool Street and Moorgate underground stations. The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from Southwark underground station, the Tate Modern and the Millennium Bridge. You can reach Soho and Vauxhall within 10-15 minutes by underground or bus. The popular Pleasuredrome gay sauna is within walking distance. Also a great choice for XXL dance party goers, as Pulse club is just a few minutes' walk away from the hotel.
Sofitel St James London
It is impossible not to be impressed by the fabulous Sofitel St James. This former bank building has English Heritage Grade II listed status and an enviable position on Pall Mall. Walk north up Waterloo Place and in just a couple of minutes you will be in the Soho gay district. Walk south, across Pall Mall, and you will be looking towards Buckingham Place. The combination of British design with the elegant French styling works very well. We love the richly-decorated, sophisticated state-of-the-art guest rooms & suites. The hotel has a fabulous spa, a gym, and free WiFi for all.
ibis London Shepherd's Bush
Affordable and surprisingly convenient. The ibis offers modern, well-maintained bedrooms with a comfortable bed, flat screen TV and free WiFi. This particular ibis has a rather good location - just a few minutes' walk to Shephard's Bush underground station (Central Line). You can get to central London in less than 15 minutes and walk to Westfields, London's second largest indoor shopping mall. The hotel is very close to a Night Bus stop, so you can get back to your room from Soho easily and cheaply all night long. There is a 24-hour reception and an onsite restaurant that serves breakfast until midday, although you are spoilt for choice for restaurants and cafés at Westfield.
St Giles London - A St Giles Hotel
One of the most popular London hotels on Travel Gay. St Giles offers good value for money and is located near Oxford Street shopping, the gay bars and shops in Soho. What makes St Giles stand out is the enormous onsite leisure club - popular with gay Londoners for decades. Apex London Wall Hotel
The top-rated, stylish Apex London Wall is located in the heart 'The City' business district and close to three subway stations. You can be in Soho or West End within about 15 minutes.
